Careful here to avoid cliche and sentimentality. We want bits of language that seem curious not because they say something we've heard before or that we believe to be true. (Often, those are just platitudes: live life to the fullest, seize the day, etc.) Rather, they're interesting because we've never quite heard anyone say them before. The most surprising one here is the last.
